Digital potential meter
The digital potential meter is a portable self-powered device designed to measure the potential on underground metal structures relative to a copper sulfate non-polarized reference electrode with a potential sensor, or the like, (hereinafter referred to as the “total potential” of the structure, which includes the potential difference between the structure and the reference electrode and ohmic component). The device provides the ability to polarize the potential sensor and measure the potential on it relative to the reference electrode, that is, the potential on the structure with the exclusion of the ohmic component (hereinafter referred to as the "polarization potential") in the measurement range of the polarization potential, it is possible to change the measurement delay time relative to the moment of termination of polarization. The values of the polarization and total potentials at the moment of measurement are simultaneously displayed on the digital indicator of the device. The device provides for the possibility of monitoring the voltage of the power source and the potential values averaged over a period of time set by the operator. The device is manufactured for the needs of the oil and gas industry, utilities and communications. The main area of application is in specialized divisions of electrochemical protection in assessing the corrosion protection of metal structures (pipelines, tanks, tanks, containers, cables, etc.), at stationary and temporary control and measuring points and in the operational maintenance of protective equipment in laboratories, field and production conditions.
The terms "total potential" and "polarization potential" are used in the field of electrochemical corrosion protection in accordance with GOST 9.602-2005 and RD 153-39.091-01. The quantities denoted by these terms represent the DC voltage from the point of view of the measurement process. A copper-sulfate non-polarizing reference electrode with a potential sensor is used as standard and is not included in the device.
Potential meter
The potential meter is a portable self-powered device designed to diagnose the state of anti-corrosion protection of underground metal structures and control electrochemical protection systems in accordance with GOST 9.602-2016.
The device provides:
measurement of polarization (without ohmic component) potential;
measurement of total (with ohmic component) potential;
measurement of the polarization current of the auxiliary electrode;
measurement of voltage on an external shunt 75 mV and conversion into shunt current;
voltage measurement in the range +/-100 V;
long-term registration of the measured potentials and polarization current of the auxiliary electrode;
determining the geographic coordinates of the current location.
Measurement results can be stored on a memory card and transferred to a personal computer.
